Happy New Year to everybody!

On Tuesday December 13th we held our Christmas Achievement Award party in partnership with Jack Petchey Foundation. Jane Evans, our JPF area officer, and a great fan of SLSL, made the presentations.

JPF Leadership Awards deservedly went to Councillor Mick Hayes and to David James  for all their hard work to support SLSL. A surprise Leadership award was presented to Sharon for her 15 years of service. On this evening she stood down as director. Although she still intends to Support SLSL, it will be in a different role as consultant.

Jonathan Dixon, who many people know already, has come from GLL as a successful Strategic Manager. He will be bringing his expertise to the post of Director at SLSL

Alfie Cambridge who has made a huge contribution to Greenwich PFC was presented with a medal for his achievement award. Adam Biggs and Jonathan West both received achievement awards for their hard work and improvement in Tennis.

SLSL received a cheque for £1800 from Blackheath Golf Club. This was presented by Mary Spence who, while being captain of the women’s team made SLSL her charity of the year

We presented Kyle Alexander with a special award for his achievement of being selected for the England Squad for the WFA Powerchair Football Worlds this summer.

Lets hope that 2017 will see SLSL grow to greater heights this year. Thank-you for everybody’s ongoing support. Without this commitment there would not be an SLSL.
